Our Story

Our story began in 2004 as Jan Johnson Transit Services, a family-owned business specializing in crew transfers for wharf and mining operations in the Dampier and Karratha regions. From 2014 to 2020, it operated under the name Pilbara Transit Services (PTS) by Mark and Deb McCarthy, before being sold to their son Luke in 2020.

Luke and Bronwyn McCarthy rebranded the business as Land Air Sea Transport Solutions (LASTS) to highlight its three divisions and ability to provide comprehensive, end-to-end transportation solutions. They offer transit services, charter flights, charter brokerage, and marine and aviation consultancy, available 24/7, 365 days a year, through a single point of contact.

Driven by a passion for exceptional customer service, Luke and his team developed the custom AOCGO app to streamline transportation services. This customizable app meets specific customer needs, providing a unique and efficient solution that sets LASTS apart from competitors.

The company quickly earned a reputation for timely and reliable service, solving complex or last-minute multi-modal logistics, and always prioritizing customer safety.

In 2023 a strategically located yard at Gap Ridge with in house mechanical was added to the capabilities and in 2024 LASTS secured an airport terminal at Karratha Airport for passenger and freight services.
